The Gothenburg Cemetery is located 1 1/2 miles east of Highway 47 on 27th Street.  The Cemetery is a municipal Cemetery.  The City of Gothenburg contracts with Tim Strauser for the Cemetery Sexton duties.  Mr. Strauser may be reached at 308-537-2313 for more information in regard to the Cemetery.

The City also employs Tim Lauer as a full-time Parks/Cemetery Manager for lawn and grounds maintenance.  Mr. Lauer may be reached by contacting the City Office at 308-537-3677.

The Cemetery is run by the Gothenburg Cemetery Board of which is appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.  The Board shall have the general care, management, and supervision of the Municipal Cemetery with the power  and authority to pass rules and regulations for the proper use of the Cemetery.
