Gothenburg Memorial Hospital 

The Gothenburg Memorial Hospital, located at 910 20th Street, (308) 537-3661, was built in 1969 and has a capacity of 47 beds (18 acute care and 29 long-term care). The hospital has facilities for laboratory, X-ray, physical therapy, surgical suite, delivery suite, emergency room, consulting dietitian, consulting pathology services, intensive care unit, and 24-hour registered nurse coverage for acute care. A medical clinic located in conjunction with the hospital was built through a joint effort between the city and the hospital district.

In 1994, Gothenburg Memorial Hospital completed a building and remodeling project. The project provided the facility with five additional long term care beds, an enlarged area for long term care dining room and activities, additional space for the hospital's growing cardiac rehabilitation department, a conference room, a large medical laboratory, and a remodeled area to accommodate the increasing number of outpatients at the hospital. A new wellness center opened in 1997 making it possible for interested people in and around the community to maintain and improve their physical health.

Hilltop Estates Skilled Care Center 

Hilltop Estates, located at 2520 Avenue M, (308-537-7138) is a 64-bed geriatric care facility, This new, modern facility, which was built in 1995, provides a pleasant living environment, companionship, social activities and religious services. The home is licensed for Medicaid and is fully accredited. The home has an active director of workshops as well as a full-time social service worker, dietitian and other professional help. Respite and adult daycare are also available.
