Mission Statement

The mission of the Gothenburg Chamber of Commerce is 

to provide strong leadership to its business community

 and to assist future growth and development in a 

changing economic environment.

    The Chamber of Commerce facilitates partnerships between business,  professionals, community volunteers and local and state government to accomplish collectively what can't be accomplished individually.

    The Chamber of Commerce is an information and referral center for the community and for businesses and individuals outside the community.

    The Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit citywide organization engaged in promoting business, publicizing the community and attracting new business, industry and tourism to town.

Quarterly and semi-annual payment plans available.  Monthly payments are also available with the automatic transfer payment plane.  A $10 service fee is charged for the automatic transfer plan.

 

*Associates are home-based businesses without employees; individuals; farmer/ranchers; or employees of member businesses or additional businesses under same ownership after one business pays base level or above.

 

**Non-profits are organizations supported through charitable giving and/or governmental grants.  They are organized and operated for religious, charitable, scientific or literary activities. 

 

Dues to the organization are not deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense.  A portion of dues, however, is not deductible as a business expense because of the organization's lobbying activity.  The non-deductible portion is 5%.
