SWIMMING LESSONS    

Sign up for lessons when Pool opens at the Swimming Pool

1st Session - June 20 - 24 and June 27 - July 1  

2nd Session - July 11 - 15 and July  18 - 22

(The number of classes will depend on demand.)

Lessons missed because of weather may be made up the week following the scheduled lessons, or at the end of the three sessions.

Fees:  $12.00 for beginners through swimmers, 2 week session.  Includes $2.00 for Red Cross Card.

Adult swimming (lap swimming) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . All Days, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Open Swimming . . . . . . . . . . .Sunday - Saturday, 1:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9-00 p.m.

Family/Adult Swimming . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  All Days, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

             Swim Carnival will be held in the morning...9:00-11:30 a.m., TBA

(Open to Gothenburg residents and season ticket holders.)

            Pool open after carnival for regular hours.    

GOTHENBURG SWIM TEAM

Late May through mid-July

Ages 8 and under through 30 and over

Qualifying and Championship meets in July.

Admission Charges

Registration:  All registrations will take place at the municipal pool.

Admission Charges:  All charges and fees are to be paid at the pool.

Rates:  Please check in the Fees Resolution  (Swimming Pool section) for current pricing.

Swimming Parties:  The pool may be rented for parties after 9:00 p.m.  Contact the Pool Manager in regard to scheduling.

POOL WILL CLOSE WHEN AIR TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 70 DEGREES AND/OR THUNDER & LIGHTNING.  

POOL WILL CLOSE AT 4:50 P.M. ON JULY 4TH.

POOL MAY BE CLOSED AT TIMES AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CITY.

Register by April 30 - $10.00 per child

Register by May 1 or later - $15.00 per child

All payable at the City Office.

2011 Schedules & Rosters

Girl's Softball - Girls ages 8-12

League starts June 6; Mondays

Game Times:  6:15 and 7:30 p.m. - Four-Plex

T-Ball - Youths ages 5-6 (5 years old by August 1, 2011)

League starts June 6

Game Times:  6, 7, 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays - Four-Plex

Pee Wees - Boys ages 7-9

League starts June 7

Game Times:  6:15 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays - Four-Plex

Little League - Boys ages 10-13

League starts June 6

Game Times:  6:15 and 8:00 p.m. Monday and Wednesdays - Four-Plex

Rainouts:  to be made up on open dates before playoffs (if necessary for playoff positions) and with approval of recreation director.
